First Baptist Church is a hospitable and Jesus-centered church family in a hard-working & family-oriented community with a deep passion for community care and encountering God. As we gather and scatter, we desire to make Jesus known by being everyday people celebrating Jesus in community. We believe change happens when everyday people meet Jesus.
Inward Life
Everyday People
God has created every person in his likeness and image to steward every aspect of our lives in relationship with him and under his authority. (Genesis 1:26-28, 2 Corinthians 3:18)
Submitting to Jesus
Walking daily in obedience under the leadership of King Jesus. (Matthew 16:24-25)
Depending on the Father
Trusting the Father for God-sized provision in the big and small details of life. (Matthew 6:25-33, Proverbs 3:5-6)
Abiding in the Spirit
Living daily in the presence of the Holy Spirit, manifesting the fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16-26, John 15:5)
Outward Life
Celebrating Jesus
The joyful effect of the gospel in our lives cultivated by the Holy Spirit energizes our attitudes, words, and actions.

Sacrificially Loving
Caring for others’ interests above our own as Christ laid down his life for us. (Ephesians 5:1-2)
Expressively Grateful
Living with heartfelt appreciation for God’s grace and mercy and expressing that to others. (Colossians 3:15-17)
Generously Hospitable
Welcoming others as God welcomed us through sharing valuable time and resources in our home, in their home, and within our community. (Romans 15:2-3 & 7)
Communal Life
In Community
An intentional commitment to one another to make much of Jesus by growing with him together and sharing him in everyday conversations. (Acts 2:42-47)
Biblically Equipped
Participating in ongoing discipleship through spiritual formation and biblical education. (Ephesians 4:10-16)
Relationally Invested
Devoting intentional time and energy to walking alongside others in the way of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Missionally Engaged
Living as an ambassador of the gospel, compelled by love of Jesus in personal relationships and kingdom-minded partnerships in the community and beyond.
